Developers explain their thoughts behind the changes: In the patch notes, the developers also explained how the adjustments came about and what plans are in place for the weapon meta.

They explain that with the Vanguard weapons, because of the attachments, it is very difficult to balance a weapon as they imagine it to be. Since you can screw up to 10 attachments on a weapon and individual attachments change the weapons more than ever before, you have to keep an eye on all eventualities.

One would like to achieve with the adjustments that different setups for weapons are worthwhile and not always just the “rapid fire” option, with which you increase the rate of fire and damage.

The BAR is a good example of this. With the new values of the barrels you have to choose options with the other attachments to improve the recoil control. However, if you can cope well with the new recoil, you can also improve your mobility or other attributes.

The developers want to find a suitable risk-reward ratio for each weapon – how much is a poorer control worth compared to a better movement or other advantages? All weapon changes follow exactly this idea.

The nasty monster Krampus, who is currently chasing players on Caldera, doesn’t care much: Players in CoD Warzone are being brutally dismantled by a fairy tale monster.
