Destiny 2 Xur Location and Items, Aug 13-17

The weekly Exotic Merchant Xur is found in random locations throughout the Destiny world. In Destiny 2, it can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur at the EDZ, in the Winding cove, stand over cliff by a fallen ketch.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• Prometheus Lens, Solar Tracking Rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
• Graviton Forfeit, Hunter Helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
• Synthoceps, Titan Arms: 23 Legendary Shards
• Radio Eve, Warlock Chest: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now buy a second with an Exotic cipher)
• Exotic Cipher Lookup: Free

Xur’s items drop to a power level similar to your character’s.

Prometheus lens

Prometheus lens It is an exotic from Curse of Osiris. It used to be one of the most powerful weapons of all Destiny 2, when a bug (now fixed) caused it to deal ridiculous damage in PvP. Prometheus Lens is still great for taking out large crowds of enemies at once.

The main benefit, Prismatic hell, causes the Prometheus Lens beam to increase in size the longer you hold the trigger. This allows the tracking rifle to deal considerable damage over a large area. The secondary ability of the weapon, Flame refraction, makes the first perk even better as it allows kills to return the ammo to the magazine. The more kills you get, the longer you can hold the trigger and increase the damage area. It’s a fun pistol and it’s definitely worth the legendary shards.

Graviton Forfeit

Graviton Forfeit It is a hunter helmet of Curse of Osiris. While it looks like an exotic returning from Destiny, its exotic benefit, Shadow fading, it is completely different in Destiny 2. This perk increases the duration of your invisibility abilities and causes your melee ability to quickly recharge while you are invisible.

Graviton Forfeit is really very powerful with the new Way of the Wraith tree and it will keep you invisible for a long time. If you like to be crafty, choose this helmet.

The Biotic improvements The intrinsic perk offers “increased melee lunge range” as well as “improved melee damage and super damage when surrounded.” These are one of the most powerful Titan Exotics in the game, and they always benefit you for using them. If you don’t have them, buy them!

Radio eve

The Radio eve It is a witch chest piece of Curse of Osiris. Your exotic benefit, Planetary torrent, causes a shock wave to explode when you place your Rift. Your Rift also recharges much faster when surrounded by enemies.

This all sounds great, but unfortunately Vesper of Radius is overshadowed by so many other Warlock Exotics that it’s very difficult to see a situation where Vesper of Radius is your best chest piece. Unless you’re a collector, skip it.

Exotic Cipher Search

Starting at Beyond the light, Xur has a new search for an exotic cipher. Exotic Cipher allows you to purchase Old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You will need these items and some other coins to collect exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. Upon completion of the mission, you will get an Exotic Cipher to use however you like.
