Vigor Chronicles: Revenge is here to change things forever

Hello strangers!

It is already November and the year is slowly coming to an end. But before we say goodbye to 2021, we have one last big update for you! Vigor Chronicles It’s here, but before we dive into what to expect with this update, let’s see what happened during season 9, shall we?

We release Season 9: Stalkers in August and with it something that the community had been asking for for a long time: grenades! In addition to Frag Grenades, Season 9 saw some performance improvements for Xbox Series X | S. With update 9.1, We present not one, but two seasons of Legacy! We begin with season 2 of Legacy: Hunters, followed by season 4 of Legacy: Warlords (by popular demand from our community). Finally, we released a minor update for a special Halloween event from October 20 to November 2.

As we say goodbye to the Stalkers, it’s time to turn the page for a new chapter in Vigor…

The seasons are dead, long live the chronicles!

A new chapter begins in Vigor and we are proud to present Vigor Chronicles. From now on, we will add lore to the game and we want it to be reflected in the name. With this update, you will be able to develop the Chronicles and follow the path of Revenge!

Throughout the Battle Pass, you can collect cassettes that tell the story of Adam, a former soldier who wants revenge and seeks blood. Hence, Vigor Chronicles: Vengeance! Adam’s story is one of misery, hope, and heartbreak and we can’t wait until you hear it.

We know you’ve been asking for in-game knowledge for quite some time, but we’re finally here! We have taken the first step to explain what happened to the world that was left in this post-apocalyptic state. With Vigor Chronicles: Vengeance, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to present some traditions and tell the stories of different outsiders, as well as background information on what happened in Norway.

There are 10 cassettes in total waiting for you in the Battle Pass: 1 for every 5th level of progression. Once you reach level 50, you will be able to listen to the final cassette and you will be able to piece together the entire story. All cassettes are available in the free tier of the Battle Pass because we wanted them to be easily accessible to all of our players.

Our team is very excited about this feature and we hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we enjoy creating them.

Kjerstin here as a new shootout map / new shootout map? Oh Dam!

In case you haven’t figured it out, the new dam map is called Kjerstin. It is a Norwegian name that means Christian woman. Fun fact; It was modeled on a real life location near Brno in the Czech Republic and we will release it first as a new Shootout map. Of course, as with Sawmill, only part of the map will be available in Shootout, but don’t worry as we plan to release the full map in future updates. And if you’re wondering how it’s connected to the other maps, Kjerstin is at the end of the Grontheim Valley.

Meanwhile, the map will provide a lot of melee combat thrills. A new map is another thing our community has been yearning for for a long time and we are so happy to finally bring it to you, so get ready for those intense fights atop a bloody dam!

Blind your enemies with the new flash grenades

That’s people! A new set of grenades is coming and this time, we introduce the M84 flash grenades. You’ll be able to blind your opponents for a brief moment, allowing you to take that lethal shot or give yourself time to escape a difficult situation. Unlike the M67 Frag Grenade, this one is military grade, which means you can take up to 3 of them to an Encounter. We’ve also changed the aiming bow for grenades. Simply put, once you equip your grenade, the default aiming arc will be more like a straight line for a quick throw, but you can choose a more curved arc for a longer throw by holding down the aim button.

A battle pass straight from the special forces

Let’s talk about the Battle Pass. First of all, we heard your pleas for more military outfits, and this update contains some of the most threatening outfits we’ve ever produced. Most of them are inspired by the Danish special forces called Frogmen. In the Battle Pass, you’ll be able to equip yourself with the deadly special edition L85A1 assault rifle that will strike fear into the hearts of your opponents. The Vigor Chronicles: Vengeance Battle Pass also comes equipped with Zealot’s outfits, Adam’s uniform from the cassettes, ballistic helmets, “night vision” goggles, and some cool-looking weapon skins.

Some little details

We’d still like to talk about a few more things that are included in Vigor Chronicles: Vengeance. First of all, there are some small visual improvements for Xbox Series X | S. Also, the sawed-off shotgun and the KS-23 will now be considered secondary weapons.
