Dragon Age 4 (working title): Senior Creative Director has left Bioware

As Kotaku citing, among other things, an email that was sent to the workforce of Bioware, the senior creative director responsible for Dragon Age 4, Matt Goldman, has left the development studio. As it is said in the email, they have separated amicably, but assure the staff that the commitment to deliver a high-quality Dragon Age game has not diminished as a result.

Goldman had been with Bioware since 1998, where he worked as a graphic designer on titles such as Baldur’s Gate and Jade Empire, before taking a short detour at Ensemble Studios on Halo Wars, but then returning to Bioware. Since the development of Dragon Age 4 was practically restarted in 2017, he has been heavily involved in this realignment as Senior Creative Director – a role that he also played for the other series offshoots.

Of course, one can now speculate what effect this will have on the further development process. A spokesman for Electronic Arts said at Kotaku that the next Dragon Age game is in excellent hands and that the studio team will continue to carry the vision of the game.
