Pokémon GO: Season of Origin – All bonuses, research and content of the season

In Pokémon GO, the season of origin starts on December 1st, 2021 and brings you lots of spawns, events and bonuses again. We at MeinMMO took a look at what to expect in the new season.

What is it about? On November 30th, Niantic published the first, long-awaited information about spawns, events and bonuses that await you in the new season on their blog (via pokemongolive.com).

As Niantic has now announced, the new season and the associated events revolve around the past and origins of Pokémon. During his research, Professor Willow discovered an old cave with a huge door that he would like to unlock together with the team leaders. Of course he needs your help.

Even before that, there was speculation in the community as to which monsters will come in the new season based on initial indications.

That brings you the season of origin

When does the new season start? The season of origin starts on December 1st, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time and extends over a total of 3 months. It will therefore end again on March 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

All events and content of the season

There will be numerous events again during the season of origin. The starting signal is the smoking day with a squeak, followed by the Community Day in December. There will also be a special Johto tour at the beginning of the new calendar year.

However, not much is known about the planned events. January and February in particular are still largely secret so far. We have summarized all the dates we already know below for you:

All bonuses for the season of origin

As you know from previous seasons, you can look forward to many special bonuses throughout the season of origin. The following seasonal bonuses await you:

• Greater effectiveness of smoke when standing still
• additionally higher effectiveness of smoke when moving
• Increased damage from your own Pokémon in remote raids
• Gift guarantee when spinning PokéStops
• 1 additional candy when trading
• guaranteed XL candy when swapping

Temporary research

In addition, you can expect limited research every month. The limited research from December is available to all trainers. However, the research for January and February will be activated as part of the ticket purchase for the Johto Tour. As a reward, an avatar article, a special monthly reward and other bonuses await you every month.

Temporary Research December: Stardust Challenge

In December you are supposed to help Blanche to open the first unlocking mechanism of the found door. It’s all about ice and ground Pokémon and stardust. As a monthly bonus, double stardust awaits you for the first catch of the day. You can also unlock the following bonuses with the collected stardust:
