This is how Halo Infinite wants to solve the problem that spoils the fun of multiplayer for many

The XP system for the Battle Pass in Halo Infinite caused a lot of excitement in the community. Slow progress has caused frustration among fans and developers. 343 Industries still wants to implement an improvement today.

In a thread on Twitter, John Junyszek, the community manager of Halo developer 343 Industries, announced changes to the Battle Pass system (via Twitter).

For the first matches that you play each day, you get more XP for the Battle Pass than before. The new XP rewards look like this:

  • 1. Match: 300 XP
  • 2. Match: 200 XP
  • 3. Match: 200 XP
  • 4. Match: 100 XP
  • 5. Match: 100 XP
  • 6. Match: 100 XP
  • Each subsequent match: 50 XP

This XP change should still be implemented today.

Halo Infinite’s new trailer is reminiscent of one of the “best trailers of all time”

This is the second improvement to the XP system that 343 Industries has made since its launch. Shortly after the surprising release of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, it was introduced that you earn 50 XP with every match instead of just the 1st match each day.

Today’s step is much more generous: With the first 6 matches a day you now earn 1,000 XP – that corresponds to 20 matches according to the previous system.

Battle Pass even frustrated developers

These changes come after a lot of excitement in the community about the Battle Pass system. Halo design chief Jerry Hook also commented on November 29th. On Twitter, he said that while playing, he himself “feels the pain of others” and that is why improvements are being made:
