Battlefield 2042: Fans disappointed with new update – Biggest problems still in the game

As of today, December 2nd, the latest update for Battlefield 2042 is out. Update 3 was the largest part of the roadmap, which announced over 200 changes by early December. These are all in play now.

Over 150 individual adjustments came through the update today alone. A huge amount of text featured the official patch notes on the website (via she.with). But fans are still disappointed: The biggest problems are still in the game – without a new roadmap that promises improvement.

What happened? The game has struggled with a few issues since Battlefield 2042 Early Access. In addition to high-profile personnel changes at the developers, there were numerous annoying problems in the game that had to be fixed. These include, among others:

Many other problems spoil the fun of Battlefield 2042 for gamers. Therefore, high hopes were placed on the biggest update so far. Now that Update 3 is out, we know what should be better.

What does Update 3 improve? The patch revises some areas of the game and also brings new features. The more than 150 individual changes are divided into the following core aspects (via ea.com) :

• There are bug fixes and gameplay changes
• The update offers “Quality of Life” improvements that should make your gaming experience easier.
• The UI is adjusted – including an indication of whether a paramedic is nearby.
• There are life indicators for vehicles and opponents.
• Thanks to portal mode, Rush can be played on the maps of Battlefield 2042
• Weekly missions appear next week

What problems are still involved? Many more fundamental problems have plagued the game since Day 1. These have not yet been resolved by the latest update.
