Pokémon Diamond / Pearl: Patch is here and won’t let you clone Pokémon and items anymore

Pokémon Radiant Diamond and Shining Pearl included a glitch that allowed you to clone Pokémon and items, but it has now been weeded out.

Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl, like most other Nintendo games, receives regular minor updates. Patch 1.1.2, for example, is now here and introduces some improvements and adjustments. For example, a glitch that could prevent you from continuing to play has been removed. The glitch, which was used to clone Pokémon and items, has also been removed from the game.

This is what it’s about: For a few days now, you have been able to play the new Pokémon editions Radiant Diamond and Shining Pearl on the Nintendo Switch. The new remake edition brings back the time-honored Nintendo DS parts Diamond and Pearl, but introduces a whole host of improvements and a completely new look. Now some updates and bug fixes are coming out little by little.

Update 1.1.2 is here: If you play Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl on your Nintendo Switch, you can now download the latest and greatest update with version number 1.1.2. All you have to do is select the tile of the pearl / diamond game on the home screen, press + and look for updates. If you start the game, an automatic prompt should also appear.

What’s in it: The official information and patch notes are limited to an absolute minimum. It simply states that it has fixed a number of issues to make the gameplay more enjoyable and that it has fixed a number of issues that, under certain circumstances, could prevent the game from advancing further.

This means that the annoying soft lock bug is apparently finally a thing of the past. He was able to ensure that you and other players got stuck and couldn’t continue playing. But how Dexter confirmed, Nintendo and ILCA Inc. have apparently also removed the glitch for cloning, aka duplicating, items and Pokémon. You can find out how it works here:

Do you want to continue cloning? If you want to continue to use this option, you have to stop the update process of the game. If you simply do not update Pokémon Radiant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can still clone items and Pokémon. But then of course you have to do without the other bug fixes.
