Fortnite: the live event before Chapter 3 starts today – when does it start?
The big live event at the end of Chapter 2 (Season 8) and the start of Chapter 3 is running in Fortnite today, December 4th. We’ll show you when the event starts and what time you should be there.
What kind of event is that? At the end of a season or chapter, Fortnite regularly starts large live events. Players can take part live in Fortnite at the same time and experience the event together or watch it in the stream on the major Fortnite streamers and follow their reactions to the spectacle live.
When does the live event start? Today, December 4th, the big live event will take place before the start of Chapter 3. You can take part in the event at 10:00 p.m. German time. Fortnite itself confirms this time with a countdown, which you can find in the lobby and on the map.

This is how you can participate: If you want to experience the event live in the game, you should log in in good time. Depending on how big the rush is, the servers could be overcrowded, which could result in queues.
The Chapter 2 finale will feature an event mode called “The End”. You will not be able to start this mode until 9:30 p.m. It offers space for up to 16 players.

What happens at the live event “Das Ende?”
That is known: Fortnite itself has already published a teaser trailer for the event of “The End”. A fight against the dice queen awaits you. This introduces the end of Chapter 2 and the start of Chapter 3.

The queen threatens to destroy the Chapter 2 map. So it is quite possible that the entire map will be destroyed or completely changed during the event. So there would be a brand new map for you in Chapter 3 Season 1.
In addition, there are already some leaks that deal with the end of the Fortnite map. There are trailers circulating that show how a new map in Chapter 3 could go on.
