On Wednesday the new map is coming to CoD Warzone – you should know that now

The first joint season of the Battle Royale Warzone with CoD Vanguard starts on Wednesday at Call of Duty. Warzone gets a new map, switches to the Vanguard graphics engine and goes offline for a while. MeinMMO shows you an overview with the most important information about the “Pacific Update”.

The free Call of Duty: Warzone is about to have its biggest update to date and will be “Warzone: Pacific” on December 8th. The update includes:

• The new map “Caldera” – a Pacific island
• Almost 40 new weapons from Vanguard
• Airplanes and anti-air trucks as vehicles
• Revised graphics
• Neues Anti-Cheat „RICOCHET“

We will show you important information such as details about the download, the server downtime and the process of the changeover. In addition, an overview with some changes that you can adjust to.

Everything for download – release, size, preload

When is the update coming? Season 1 starts on December 8th at 6 a.m. When you can download the new Warzone update is not yet fully understood. However, we already know when the update will be online in Warzone: on December 8th. by 18 clock.

Is there a preload? Based on the experiences from the last seasons, we expect a preload for the Pacific update. However, the developers have not yet made any firm statements about this either.

We will update the article accordingly as soon as the details are known.

When do the servers go down? With the start of Season 1 on December 8th. at 6 a.m. the Warzone servers go down for 12 hours:

• Server down start: December 8th at 6am
• Server down end: December 8th at 6 p.m.

You cannot play a Warzone during this time.

Which launcher do I use to start Warzone? So far it is also not entirely clear whether Warzone will continue to be started from the CoD MW launcher or whether it will switch to the Vanguard launcher.

What about Vanguard in Season 1? The Call of Duty premium title is also getting new content for multiplayer and its zombie mode with Season 1. You can find all information about Season 1 here:

What happens until the server down in Warzone? 2 events are currently online in Warzone:

In addition, another event game mode will start on Monday evening, December 6th: “Last Hours of Verdansk”. Much is not yet known about the new event, but it’s all about saying goodbye to the old map and moving on to the new map.

The farewell event will be online until the server down on December 8th.

When can I start playing Caldera? You can play the Pacific update on December 8th at 6pm. However, not all players will then have access to the new “Caldera” map.

Only buyers of CoD: Vanguard can get started immediately and immerse themselves in the game modes on the new map. If you haven’t bought Vanguard, you have to wait 24 hours longer:

• Vanguard buyers: Caldera access on December 8th. by 18 clock
• Non-buyers: Caldera access on December 9th. by 18 clock

During this 24 hour period, non-buyers only have 2 versions of the small “Rebirth Island” map available: “Revival” and “Mini Royale” should be in the playlist at the start.

What does the playlist look like at the start?

• Battle Royale (Caldera)
• Vanguard Royale (Caldera)
• Beutegeld (Boiler)
• Revival (Rebirth Island)
• Mini Royale (Rebirth Island)

What is “Vanguard Royale”? The new game mode focuses on the Vanguard weapons and you can only use guns from the latest CoD. There are also the new vehicles here – planes and an anti-air truck.

In normal Battle Royale there are only the previously known vehicles and all weapons – including the new Vanguard weapons.

Everything about the content and the island “Caldera”

What is there to know about the map? The new map “Caldera” is a volcanic island in the middle of the Pacific and looks very different from the old map “Verdansk”. Instead of gray concrete walls in the Cold War, it goes to a green island paradise with many beaches, a holiday feeling and no high-rise buildings with endless staircases.

The developers report that the new map is only similar to the old map in one respect: its size. Otherwise we get a completely new experience, which has been created based on the feedback on the Warzone since the release. What else comes into play? Warzone doesn’t just get a new map. The Pacific update is a complete overhaul that affects many areas of the game and creates a whole new gaming experience.
