Insomniac is releasing two brand new suits for the remaster of Marvel’s Spider-Man later this week. The two outfits were inspired by the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will hit German cinemas on December 16.

When do the new suits appear? From December 10th you can download the Inside-Out Suit and the Integrated Suit via update and put them on. Insomniac tweeted a new trailer where you can see the new suits in action.

Fans respond to the announcement

If you’re wondering why the suits were explicitly announced for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, that’s because you actually only get them in the PS5 version, for which you in turn get the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition have to buy. Not a fine move from Sony and Insomniac, the fans find, and they really get going under the tweet.

  • “I am really disappointed and shocked,” writes Lionnightingale. “Why don’t you bring them to the PS4 version ?! At a time when many can’t get hold of a PS5 and a great time for Spidey fans, kicking PS4 users in the face is just wrong. Shameful.”
  • jpeg9783 hits the same line: “This is really ridiculous, PS4 players can’t get a PS5 even if they try and you expect us to forego these suits.”

Still a few PS5 consoles in stores: There are still too few semiconductor chips for the electrical industry. Among other things, the production of game consoles suffers from this. Both the Xbox Series X and PS5 are hard to come by, even a year after launch. That’s why many fans are of the opinion that content should also appear for the last-gen consoles.

Insomniac Defends: The development studio doesn’t want to leave the negative comments just like that and replies to the fans: “Since the release in 2018 we have released 19 updates for Marvel’s Spider-Man (PS4) that have added more suits and functions than originally planned. Each subsequent patch became technically more complex, especially with regard to the performance of the PS4 HDD. “

Insomniac is currently working on these games

As we know, Insomniac is already working on a successor. If there are already problems with the low loading speed of the PS4 during the updates, it stands to reason that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for the PS5. However, it is not official yet. As of now, the game should be launched in 2023.

At some point afterwards, Insomniac’s second big project appears. Marvel’s Wolverine is supposed to do the same for the claw-wielding X-Men as Marvel’s Spider-Man does for the superhero from New York. If the quality is similarly good, we can look forward to it.

Are you excited about the new suits or are you annoyed that they are not coming to PS4?
