The 3rd chapter of Fortnite is celebrated by everyone – what makes the game so good now?
The new 3rd chapter of Fortnite has been out since December 5th and the community has always been amazed. Lots of new features have been praised and the game feels like it’s a new one again. We’ll show you what the players have to say.
What’s new? Chapter 3 kicked off on December 5th, and gamers from around the world enjoyed the refresh of Fortnite. New map with new weapons and new features impress the players and provide a breath of fresh air.
Now that the release was a few days ago, we at MeinMMO take a closer look at the voices of the community and look at the mood of how Chapter 3 has arrived. Three things that the players celebrated stood out in particular.
3 things in Chapter 3 that players particularly praise
The Fortnite players now had a few days to take in the new chapter. Three things particularly stood out and were very positively received by the community:
- Slide
- Variety in fights thanks to the red dot visor
- Focus on community
Matches become sliding games
What do you mean with that? Since the new season, players can now slide after a sprint. To do this, they have to crouch down after a sprint and are then able to cover certain distances quickly. Whether high mountains or steep slopes, everything is currently managed with slides.
You can also fire while sliding to surprise your opponents.
What do the players say about it? There are lots of funny memes posted about sliding on reddit, but everyone is sure in the comments that this feature works very well. Comments like:

As you comb through the comments, it becomes clear that everyone agrees: sliding is a cool thing.
The new favorite rifle: MK-7 assault rifle
What do you mean with that? Fortnite has packed all old weapons in the safe and thrown new ones on the map through the new chapter. Among them there was a rifle which was equipped with a special feature.
As you aim, you actually look in your sights and are put into first person mode. This gives you a more precise target acquisition and a moderate zoom.
Since the new assault rifle was out, players have been celebrating such an improvement.
What do the players say about it? All players agree on Twitter. The new ratchet is incredibly good. All players comment with statements “how sick” the new weapon is and how cool it is, the Epic is making such a change and that they could do that with other weapons too.
Focus on community
What do you mean with that? With the update, Epic wrote in Patch Notes 19.00 that all actions, such as resuscitating players, restarting teammates or opening a vault, take place faster together.
So if you are in a team or trio, you can revive players faster if your mates help you. This allows you to be ready for battle faster and also saves time. Teams that host loners shoot each other out because everything is delayed.

The introduction of such a feature shows that this is exactly what players need in Fortnite. A possibility to support players as a team even in dangerous situations and that as support and not as Rambo is seen as good.
With such team-based features, Fortnite ensures a more collegial team game. So if you know the modes teams or trios, you know that players often act selfishly and that the rest of the team suffers as a result. With this change, players now have an incentive to act as a team and not to leave the field on their own only to eventually perish.
