CoD Warzone disappoints its console players with Pacific update because the FoV slider (German: field of view controller) is missing. This was requested by many for consoles, but is not included now. That doesn’t go down well with fans.

What is the problem? Many CoD Warzone console players are not entirely satisfied with the latest update. Because the FOV slider, which some have wanted for a long time, has not come into play with the latest Pacific update.

This creates disappointment and even leaves some frustrated. Some would even have preferred this feature to the new caldera map, which is the main part of the Pacific update.

What is a FoV slider? With it you can adjust your field of view. If you turn up the FoV slider, you can see more of the game. The visible image section is larger and you can see opponents at the edge of the screen that you would otherwise not see.

Why do so many want this feature? One of the main reasons is that PC gamers can modify their field of view. This gives them an advantage over console players, in addition to mouse & keyboard control.

With a larger field of vision, the feel of the game is different and sometimes even faster. In addition, the console versions of CoD Vanguard and even the predecessor CoD Cold War have such a feature.

In the worst case, players have to get used to each time they switch from one of the titles to Warzone, or do without the feature there in order to avoid this.

This is how the players react to the missing feature: The CoD Warzone subreddit makes it clear how angry some are. Although they are looking forward to the new caldera map, a FoV slider has been on the wish list for some time and is almost even more important.

Some are now calling for no more money to be invested in the Warzone Battle Pass until the feature is submitted. They really want to protest.

The communication from developer Raven on the subject has also been criticized, as the developer had not been clear about whether the feature was included or not until the actual release of the update.

Is there hope? Some players suspect that the FoV slider could be delivered in a timely manner. The reason for this lies in the patch notes for the Pacific Update. Here the FoV slider was apparently briefly listed, but then removed again (via reddit).

It is not clear whether this was a simple mistake or whether the feature was actually planned right at the start and had to be removed again. There is currently no official statement on the subject.

How else is the update being received? Despite the anger about the missing FoV slider, the new map has received a lot of positive feedback.
