WoW: Watch out – from today you can get the mage tower skins
A special event in World of Warcraft has started. You have two weeks to earn really cool skins.
Actually, there is currently the great content drought in World of Warcraft and the wait for patch 9.2. For two weeks, however, there is really something to be done. Timewalking: Legion is back for the first time since patch 9.1.5, and that means some very fresh (or warmed-up) content. There are “Mythic +” – dungeons from Legion – and the infamous magician tower is continuously active for the duration of the event.
What is there in the magician’s tower? The Mage Tower was a solo endgame content in the Legion expansion. Back then, players could get very special skins for their artifact weapons here. It used to be said that once Legion ends, the skins will be lost forever – and so it turned out.
However, during Timewalking, the Mage Tower will be active again and will grant some new rewards. Although these are not exactly the old skins, they are really chic class sets. These are color variations of the mythical “Tomb of Sargeras” animal set.
How heavy is the magician tower? Blizzard has tried to make the tower a solid challenge even in Shadowlands. Hence there are a number of restrictions. Certain abilities cannot be used and the character attributes are set to a fixed value. It is therefore not possible to “outgear” the challenges – you actually have to face the battles.
How long do you have time? You have a total of 2 weeks to complete the challenges of the Mage Tower. Because the first time the time wandering: Legion lasts 2 weeks. The tower then closes again and will not come back for a few months. So if you want to have the skins, you should do your best – you have until December 21st.
What else is there? In addition to the coveted weapon skins, the developers have built another delicacy into the magician’s tower. Whoever manages to complete all the challenges of the Mage Tower (7 in total) can earn a new mount. This is a flying magic book on which you can fly into battle in the future to show the whole world that the magician’s tower was not a real challenge for you.

And if that’s still not enough, you can complete the tower challenges with all classes on all specializations. This then rewards with the success “Tower Triumph” or in English “Tower Overwhelming”. Success, however, does not grant a reward – but is perfect for showing off a little in front of everyone.
