Battlefield 2042 had a more than bumpy launch in November. In addition to technical problems, the unbalanced weapons and specialists caused displeasure among critics and fans. Just recently, Dice unveiled a roadmap of patches to address the game’s key problem areas.

And today one of the patches from this roadmap will be released, namely Update 3.1. The main focus is on adjustments to the balance, which are the most important improvements of the patch on the official Battlefield blog to find:

Patch 3.1 takes care of these elements

  • Hit registration
  • Adjustments to the balance between projectile dispersion and recoil
  • Balancing adjustments to the on-board cannons of ground vehicles that make them less effective against infantry
  • Problems with grenades and rocket launchers are to be fixed
  • Bug where players become invisible to others should also be fixed

Crossplay Facilitation: Anyone who wants to deactivate crossplay on the Xbox consoles should be able to do this much more easily after patch 3.1 than before, where this option was sometimes not even available and you had to go through the Xbox system menu.

In addition, the developers have taken another look at the sound and promise an “intensification” in this area with Update 3.1.

At what time does Update 3.1 go live?

Dice has already revealed the time from which the update should be rolled out on Twitter. Accordingly, it should be from 09:00 German time, a downtime is not expected by the studio.
