With a new update, New World brings server consolidations – patch notes and maintenance work

New World gets a new update today, December 9th. However, it’s not the big December patch, but the 1.1.2 update. The focus there is on the consolidation of servers and the compensation for housing. We’ll tell you the patch notes and how long the servers are down.

What’s in the update? Patch 1.1.2 is a small but important update. It brings the following innovations:

• The technical basis for server consolidation is created
• The temporary world event “Turkey Terror” has been deactivated, but is set to return in the future
• Players should now be able to buy back and use the Housing content that was lost during the rollback. Problems related to housing taxes are also said to have been fixed

When does the patch come out? The update will be applied today at 8:00 a.m. You can find the complete patch notes in Forum of New World.

How long does the maintenance work take? The developers have planned around 3 hours for maintenance. The servers should be online again at 11:00 a.m. German time.

When is the December patch coming? There is not yet an exact release date for the big December update. However, the winter event should start on Tuesday, December 14th. A release on Tuesday at the latest is the current plan.

First server consolidation in Europe and South America

Which servers will be merged with the new update? Almost a week ago the developers announced the integration of the European server Mardi into the server Brittia. There they also explained exactly why they chose these servers.

But there are even more merges planned:

• The EU servers Ishtakar, Metsola, Glitnir, Kalevala, Zu-Vendis and Phaeacia will all be integrated into the Caer Sidi server
• The South American servers Tuma, Svarga, Rukh and Patala are all integrated into Irkalla

When do these amalgamations take place? The merge of Mardi and Brittia should be carried out today together with the patch. The other two amalgamations will not take place until Friday, December 10th, at 8:00 a.m. German time.
