CoD Warzone: The best graphics settings for more FPS on the PC

The same applies to CoD Warzone: The right graphics settings can have a major impact on your gameplay. If it is important to you to win as many Battle Royale rounds as possible, you should try to get as many FPS as possible. MeinMMO tells you the best settings for it.

Call of Duty: Warzone has a very extensive Settings menu. These settings often make only a small difference in the game, but they have a big effect especially with the intense gameplay on the new Map Caldera.

What are FPS? Your FPS (frames-per-second) are particularly important for multiplayer shooters. They tell you how many images your PC produces and displays per second. The more images displayed per second, the smoother the image – and the easier it is to react and aim precisely in a shooter.

In the following we give you the best settings for each point in the graphics options menu of CoD Warzone. These recommendations will help you get the most FPS out of your PC. If the look of the game should be more important to you than the absolute maximum of FPS, you can adjust these settings as required.

The best graphics settings: display

  • Display mode: Vollbild
  • Display monitor: Your best gaming monitor
  • Graphic card: Your (best) graphics card
  • Refresh rate: The maximum from your monitor
  • Renderauflösung: 100% (with poor performance also possible: 75%)
  • Dynamic resolution: Deactivated
  • Target refresh rate Dynamic resolution: 60 (if dynamic resolution is deactivated, this setting has no effect)
  • Image format: Automatically
  • Bild-Synchronisation (V-Sync): Off (On if your monitor does not support G-Sync or Freesync)
  • Own limitation of the refresh rate: Own
    • Own refresh limit in the game: 2 less than the maximum refresh rate of your monitor.
    • So for a 144hz monitor you use 142, for a 240hz monitor 238 and so on. The explanation for this is provided by Blurbusters (via Blurbusters).
    • This recommendation does not apply to 60Hz monitors. You should use ‘Unlimited’ with them.
  • Own menu image refresh limit: 60
  • Own refresh limit out of focus: 30
  • Brightness: Individual (use the configurator by clicking the small box with the arrow to the left of the brightness number)
  • Display gamma: 2.2 (sRGB)
  • NVIDIA-Highlights: The end
  • NVIDIA Reflex for low latency: Activated + Boost (must be supported by your graphics card)

Why these settings? These settings assume that you are using a gaming monitor with a “Variable Refresh Rate” (VRR, G-Sync or Freesync). High repetition rate gaming monitors with VRR are a very good investment for gamers who want to get the most out of their gameplay.   • Antialiasing: Off (if your graphics card does not support NVIDIA DLSS)
  • Depth of field: Deactivated
  • World motion blur: Deactivated
  • Weapon motion blur: Deactivated

Shadows & lighting

  • Shadow map resolution: Small amount
  • Buffer point shadows: Deactivated
  • Buffer sun shade: Deactivated
  • Particle lighting: Small amount
  • DirectX-Raytracing: Deactivated
  • Surrounding obscuration: Deactivated
  • Screen Space Reflection (SSR): Deactivated

Why these settings? If you value your own performance in a multiplayer shooter, you should also value the performance of your game. This means that the graphic quality should be reduced to your own acceptance minimum – this will give you the most FPS.

How do I see my FPS? To see how many FPS you have in CoD Warzone, you have to activate a display in the game. Thats is quite easy.

To do this, activate the setting “Frames per second (FPS) counter”. You can find this in the options menu under the tab “Option.” In the “System” category, it is the first setting.

As soon as you have activated the FPS counter, you will see a small display in the top left corner of the screen.

How many FPS should I have? As a minimum, you should try to get to a stable 60 FPS. But even 100 FPS is a significant improvement – even if your monitor cannot display it. If you only have a 60Hz monitor, you should therefore not limit the refresh rate in the graphics settings.

Ideally, you want to have as many FPS as possible. If you have a monitor with a variable refresh rate, you should set the option “Limiting the refresh rate” to a value 2 frames below your maximum refresh rate, as recommended.
