Wonder Woman: New open world game relies on the Nemesis system again
Gal Gadot embodies Wonder Woman on the big screen, but now the heroine is finally getting her own video game too.
Wonder Woman comes as a video game! The first real Wonder Woman game was announced at the 2021 Game Awards tonight. There wasn’t too much to see, but at least a short teaser trailer was shown, which creates a lot of atmosphere and anticipation. In the meantime we even know some small but fine details about the open world game.
What kind of game is Wonder Woman?
This is what it’s about: Publisher Warner Bros Games and developer studio Monolith Productions have unveiled their new game at the Game Awards 2021. That actually wasn’t leaked at all before, which host Geoff Keighley was quite proud of. Accordingly, the surprise was successful: DC superhero Wonder Woman gets her own big video game.

In the trailer, only the voice of Wonder Woman’s mother can be heard, who swears her daughter to grow beyond herself and to save herself from dangers that are not defined in more detail. We see the iconic bracers and greaves and Wonder Woman herself, and of course the glowing, glowing whip is also part of the party.
Open World-Action Adventure: However, the trailer does not reveal anything about the type of game, a release date or anything like that. But there is a little more in the video description under the trailer on YouTube. For example, the information that Wonder Woman will be an action adventure that takes place in an open world. In addition, the single player game tells a new, own story within the DC universe.
With the Nemesis system: But we can not only expect an open world, but also the nemesis system, the Monolith in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War was deployed, is celebrating a comeback. This means that we can “forge deep connections with both enemies and allies”. That sounds like an exciting mix that could go well with Wonder Woman.

Release and platforms still unknown
When and where is Wonder Woman coming? We don’t know exactly yet. However, it can be assumed that the Open World game will no longer appear for PS4 and Xbox One, but will only be published on PS5 and Xbox Series S / X and possibly also on PC. Until then, it should take a while, after all, the game seems to be in the early stages of development. A release date was not disclosed.
