When does it start? Season 25 starts today, December 10th, at 5:00 p.m. for PC gamers. You will probably have to wait longer for the start on the consoles. We know from previous seasons that the starts were activated around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.

Saisonthema: The soul shards are the big season theme that makes Season 25 in Diablo 3 so special. There are seven soul shards in total:

• There are three Soul Shards of the Great Evils that fit into your helmet sockets
• And four Soul Shards of Lesser Evils that fit your weapon sockets

In total, you can carry two of them at the same time – one in the weapon and one in the helmet.

• You can upgrade each soul shard three times, this works with exclusive seasonal items “Sparks of the Hellforge” – these are consumables
• By upgrading you unlock the additional properties that the soul shards bring with them.

Starter sets with Haedrig’s present in S25

There are these sets: The new season in Diablo 3 will again be accompanied by a season trip. It’s a series of tasks divided into different chapters. The season trip is free and solvable for everyone. If you complete chapters two, three and four, you will each receive one of Haedrig’s gifts. The gifts contain set parts for the class with whom you open the gift. If you open all three gifts with one class, you will receive a complete set and thus activate the powerful 6-pack bonus.

In Season 25 you will receive the following sets from Haedrig’s gift:

What is different? Various set adjustments play a role in the meta:

• The arachyr set has been adjusted for witch doctors
• The Shadow’s Mantle set has been adjusted for demon hunters
• The Rathma’s Bones set has been adjusted for Necromancers
• The Firebird Splendor set has been adjusted for wizards
