The studio behind Elder Scrolls Online gives a glimpse of what happened in 2021 and how things will continue in 2022.

The Elder Scrolls Online has been diligently continued for several years through annual events and add-ons. The MMO is now in its eighth year and at the end the studio director has reported to recap the past year.

Better update releases: Especially in 2020, not everything went smoothly at ESO, as Firor admits. But they managed to make Blackwood run much more smoothly than before. Nevertheless, there should continue to be improvements in this direction in the future.

New servers: Actually, the hardware of the servers for the European and North American data center should already be renewed in 2020/2021. However, as everywhere else, there are also problems with the lack of chips, which means that the expansion is only progressing slowly. The servers will continue to be rejuvenated over the next year, but how long it will take to complete is not yet known.

Increased Numbers: Firor can look back on a successful year, as in 2021, probably due to the pandemic, many continued to seek refuge in an MMO like The Elder Scrolls Online as a distraction. Millions of new players were registered over the course of the year, which is probably also related to the release of the native versions on the new consoles.
