The last God of War-Title was only published in 2018, but the Youtubers of 64 Bits wondered what the adventures of Kratos and Atreus would have looked like if God of War had appeared around 20 years earlier. Even the title and loading screens have been redesigned by the group.

God of War for retro lovers

What does the demake look like? For the God of War demake, the team created a scene in which Kratos, Atreus and Mimir are sailing across a river in a boat. When they hit a shoreline, a fight begins against a draugr, an ogre, and a nightmare:

The special: The fight is turn-based and is very reminiscent of a classic role-playing game. Kratos and Atreus both have a bar for their points of life and their points of attack. In a menu you can choose between a standard attack, a special attack, the use of an item and defending.

There will be new God of War fodder in the coming year. Then namely appears God of War 2: Ragnarok for PS4 and PS5. With the new part, the combat system should change a bit, but we shouldn’t expect a turn-based combat system like in Demake.

Rather, the variety of shields should be expanded and the Fight even more complex will. We’ll have to wait a few more months until we can convince ourselves of the new God of War part.
