Battlefield 2042: Breakthrough and Conquest mode downsized on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC

For a limited time, players in Battlefield 2042 (from 53,99€ at buy) the opportunity to try a smaller version of “Breakthrough and Conquest”. With this, the DICE team would like to focus more on infantry battles. The new version of this game mode is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. So far, 128 players have competed against each other in conquest and breakthrough. On PS4 and Xbox One, the limit was already 64 participants. Even if the number of players is now identical, there will still be no crossplay.

So far, developer DICE has not yet revealed an end date for the time-limited variant of conquest and breakthrough. You can find the game mode in the “All-Out Warfare” menu of Battlefield 2042. Since its launch on November 19, 2021, the shooter from Publisher Electronic Arts has been struggling with various problems. Several updates have already been released in the last few weeks, including the feedback from the players.
