So it only makes sense that the video game series will finally make its screen debut next year. After the first trailer, there is now the first official poster – but that doesn’t really make you want more.

What to see On the poster we see Nathan (Tom Holland) and Sully (Mark Wahlberg), who probably land on an island with a sunken ship. It’s very reminiscent of the cover of an Uncharted game, but without the charmingly mischievous look of a Nathan Drake.

In addition, the set piece with the ship is very much based on the setting from Uncharted 4. It was also about pirates and there was a big scene on a sunken ship. As the first trailer already showed, the film will be more oriented towards the games than you might initially thought. Because the ship is not the only action sequence that could already be seen in the template:

What is the movie about? In the movie adaptation we see Nathan’s first adventure with Sully – that’s why they’re both younger than in the games. As a result, the film serves as a prequel story before the adventures that we know from the template. But one element will remain the same in the implementation: the journey of the two will take them across the globe. More details are not yet known.

When does the film come out? Uncharted is scheduled to run in German cinemas from February 10, 2022.

What’s next with the video game series? Fans can look forward to something “new” even before the film. Because in January 2022 the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released for the PS5. The revised version includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Among other things, the resolution and the frame rate were screwed on.
