Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be the first highlight of the coming year. A new trailer for the Switch game introduces some new characters, including two rival clans and a merchant guild. The Japanese version of the same trailer even contains some additional information about rewards that you can collect in-game.

So you get Darkrai as a reward in Arceus

The German trailer is almost a minute shorter than that Japanese version. What we don’t see, among other things, are long credits that once again list all the rewards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that we receive for playing other parts of the series. We already knew that a Let’s Go, Eevee and Let’s Go, Pikachu, Pokémon Sword and Shield game file would have bonuses, and now the Pokémon Shining Diamond & Shining Pearl surprise has been revealed.

Legendary for game file: If you have a save file of the remakes of Diamond and Pearl on your Switch, you can take part in a special quest in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, at the end of which you can add Darkrai to your collection.

As soon as you have joined the Galaxy Expedition Team, you can also buy an outfit in the clothing store that is based on the villains of Team Galaktik.

There’s something else new about Legends: Arceus

The clans: While the first trailers mainly focused on the (semi) open world and wild Pokémon, the new clip also brings us a little closer to the people of the Hisui region. For example, there are the rival clans Diamond and Pearl. The name is no coincidence, because legends: Arceus plays in the region that will later become Sinnoh. The young clan leaders Diam and Perla stand in clear contrast to one another in terms of their personality and their goals.

Both clans are probably driving the story forward and giving us various quests. Do we have to decide which side to go at at one point? We will see.
