Yes, WoW has something new in the in-game shop again
A new pet has arrived in the World of Warcraft shop. Many players find the timing very unsuitable.
Another new pet has been added to the World of Warcraft shop. A little fairy dragon called “Blinky” is now on offer – and that annoys some again.
What kind of pet is that? The new pet is called “Zwinki” (“Blinky”) and is a cute little fairy dragon. This is a new model, not just a scaled-down version of the fairy kite. The fairy dragon changes color from time to time, changing from red to yellow and blue to red again.
As usual, the pet costs € 10 and can also be used as a battle pet in pet battles. It is a dragon and uses abilities that are largely found in other dragons and fairy dragons.
What is the problem? Shop items have always had a hard time in World of Warcraft – at least for a noisy part of the community. Whenever something new ends up in the in-game shop, some of the players comment that this is rather inappropriate for an MMORPG for which you pay a subscription. After all, it would be a cheek to pay 13 euros a month, in addition to the cost of a new expansion, and then be asked to pay again for game content.
The feedback on almost every shop item is correspondingly negative.
Some note that you can basically “earn” the shop rewards by unlocking real money currency with ingame gold via the WoW brand, but the result remains the same: in the end, someone has to pay for the pet with real money .
Even more offers in the shop: In addition to the new pet, Blizzard has just started a sale with special offers. Many mounts and pets are discounted and there is a special dragon package with lots of mounts and companions.
Whether you really should bring new items to the shop every few weeks with the currently prevailing content drought is of course another matter.
