Pokémon GO: New promo code now gives you free items

A new promo code is now available in Pokémon GO that brings you a few useful items. We’ll show you how to redeem the code.

What kind of code is that? It happens again and again that promo codes for Pokémon GO are published. You can redeem these codes either in-game or on a dedicated website to secure a few gifts with little effort.

On December 21st, another of this code appeared, which the Pokémon GO community was diligently sharing (including via reddit).

How long is the code valid? You can redeem the code from now on. It should be available by December 31st.

What does the code do? The code brings you 10 Poké Balls. 10 sanana berries and a smoke. In total, it provides 21 items that are primarily suitable for attracting a few monsters and snapping them for double candy.

How to redeem promo codes in Pokémon GO

How you redeem the codes depends on your smartphone. With Pokémon GO, the process is a little different between iOS and Android. While you can simply redeem codes in the game with Android, with iOS you have to go a detour via an external website.

On Android devices: If you play with an Android device, you can easily redeem promo codes in the in-game shop. There you just have to scroll down until you find the field “Promos”. There you enter the code, confirm it, and then the items should go into your bag.

On iOS devices: It is not possible to enter data in the shop on iOS devices; the corresponding field does not exist at all. Instead, go to the Niantic Rewards website. You can find the link here: Redeem promo code (via rewards.nianticlabs.com).

Here you have to select your linked account and enter the code. If everything worked, you should see a notification on the website. In the game you can check in the diary whether the items have been credited to you through the code.
