Destiny 2: The currently most powerful power weapon in Season 15 is a surprise
In Destiny 2, a few power weapons are particularly powerful during Season 15. A YouTuber has now made the direct comparison and, to the surprise of many players, got the most damage out with a legendary PVP linear fusion rifle.
Exotic fusion and linear fusion rifles dominate the current hit list of the most popular power weapons in Season 15. But it is not always just exotic power weapons that offer the strongest option for Destiny 2 players. Sometimes even legendary weapons can become real boss killers and thus an insider tip. Especially when they can do additional damage with a seasonal mod like Particle Breakdown.
The YouTuber VeneroTV has now made the direct comparison and tested 5 popular power weapons for you in Season 15. The result has now surprised many players. First place goes to a legendary power weapon, which in Season 15 apparently can keep up with strong Raid Exotics without any problems.
The legendary power weapon was stronger than:
- the exotic linear fusion rifle sleeper simulant
- the raid-exclusive fusion rifle “1000 votes”
- the exotic sniper rifle “Whisper of the Worm”
- the new exotic rocket launcher “Gjallarhorn”
This weapon is about: The weapon is the only one Stasis Linear Fusion Rifle “Reeds Regret” from the trials of Osiris with the seasonal mod “Particle Decomposition”.
How was it tested? Im Video from VeneroTV you can see the currently most popular weapons in direct comparison and what damage they cause. For this purpose, the maximum damage output of the individual weapons was tested on the first boss in the new dungeon “Suction of Greed”.
In the VeneroTV ranking, the newly launched, exotic rocket launcher Gjallahorn only occupies 5th place. It is followed by the Raid-Exotic 1000 votes in 4th place. In third place is the exotic sniper rifle “Whisper of the Worm”. Second place went to the exotic Schläfer Simulant linear fusion rifle. First place in his test went to the master version of the legendary stasis-linear fusion rifle Reeds Regret, which he tested with the perks “Triple” and “Vorpalwaffe”.
What makes the weapon so good in Season 15? Compared to other legendary representatives of its kind, this Trials weapon has a really good perk pool and thus not only benefits from the seasonal mod “particle decomposition”. This mod alone gives the weapon more damage with every shot and stack. With the maximum stack you get up to 40% more damage.

“Vorpalwaffe” also always grants you 15% more damage against bosses. While “Gun Line” gives you a 20 percent increase in precision damage when you are near two or more allies. So the weapon is more effective when you play in a team and hit precisely. The perk “Triple” restores 1 bullet in the magazine when landing precision hits quickly, which means you can shoot longer.
Reed’s Regret is currently the only linear fusion rifle in Destiny 2 that can drop with the perks “Triple”, “Vorpalwaffe” or “Schützenlinie”.
All of this makes “Reed’s Regret” a really powerful linear fusion rifle that you can currently equip in Destiny 2. It is therefore considered by some players to be the most powerful, legendary PvE DPS option.
Please note: However, the weapon is only the best option if you hit precisely in a stressful situation, because only then can you get the most out of the weapon.

The linear fusion rifle “Reed’s Regret” can only be obtained from the Trials of Osiris. In order to add it to your Trials loot pool, you must first have received the weapon. For this you need trials engrams, which you can then decipher with Master Rahool in order to get the chance at the weapon.
As soon as the weapon has dropped once, you can now focus all further trials engrams at the 14th Saint specifically on the linear fusion rifle. This gives you the chance to get other perk combos like “Triple” and “Schützenlinie”.
How to get the trials engrams: You get Trials engrams by climbing up the ranks in the Trials of Osiris or as a reward at the end of a match, as soon as you have scored seven victories on a pass. The seven victories also give you the best option to earn the trials of Osiris engrams. It does not matter whether you have been flawless or not. As soon as you win a match with the 7 Siege card, you also have the chance to get a trials engram.
Reed’s Regret as Master Version: If you want to get the upgraded master version of Reed’s Regret, you’ll need a pristine Trials Pass that will take you to the lighthouse. Note, however: the weapon is not available every week in the Trials of Osiris. Therefore, pay attention to the weekly rotation so that you know when the linear fusion rifle can be earned again. Even if these are all excellent exotic power weapons in Season 15 and Reed’s regret is also a recommendation, personal preferences and skills always play an equally important role. They should also be taken into account when choosing your power weapon.
If you get along better with another weapon, and most importantly, hit it, this can be an equally good and powerful option. Especially since the difference in damage between the two weapons is roughly the same, Reed’s Regret is currently the best legendary option compared to the exotic sleeper-simulant linear fusion rifle.
