New bug in CoD Warzone should let you keep weapons after death – players shout: “Pay 2 Win”

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently struggling with a few bugs. Some of them have a big influence on the core mechanics and disrupt the flow of the game enormously. Now players have found that they can even bypass the penalty for their death.

What’s that bug? Supposedly, equipping certain thrown weapons should cause a bug that allows you to keep your equipment after death in Warzone.

The leak account TheGhostOfHope shared that on twitter with, shortly afterwards also the well-known leaker Modernwarzone. Some Twitter users agree and confirm that the bug has been known for days.

Allegedly, players can keep their entire loadout, including the equipped perks. That would save a lot of money after a new entry, if the loadouts no longer have to be bought. As TheGhostOfHope noted shortly afterwards, at least only the currently equipped primary weapon was affected (via Twitter.com).

However, there are also players who claim that the glitch doesn’t work for them. It is currently not possible to say with certainty whether the bug is reproducible. We do not recommend trying it – you risk being banned from exploits.

Why is Pay2Win? The corresponding skins are only available in shop bundles, some of which are currently no longer available. Nevertheless, some players already perceive the problem as “Pay2Win”.

The glitch joins the list of problems Warzone is currently facing over the holidays:

Before Christmas, CoD Warzone and Vanguard are a “pile of broken glass full of bugs”

Bugs with shop skins and the Battle Pass

The weapon skins are currently not the only problem that players sense that victory can be paid for. The Season Pass for Season 1 in Vanguard and Warzone also causes displeasure, especially the new operator skin “Awakened” for Francis at level 100.

This is apparently almost completely invisible in matches, only his head or mask should still be visible:

Even after a few weeks in the season, this is still a problem. There was already trouble in Warzone because of the Roze skin, which was simply difficult to see in dark corners. In this case, however, a bug apparently ensures that the skin is really invisible.

The fact that Warzone is currently plagued by such severe problems depresses the mood in the community. And that despite the fact that one of the biggest points of criticism has finally been resolved – or at least is being visibly worked on.

The new anti-cheat system RICOCHET is really well received by fans. Many report seeing significantly fewer cheaters. Only the largely unplayable Warzone throws them a spanner in the works and they can’t really enjoy the achievement:

CoD Warzone’s new anti-cheat system is an “overwhelming success” according to fans, but the joy is subdued
