Destiny 2: Maintenance on January 4th – All patch notes and information

Destiny 2 Support is back from the break and you can expect the first downtime of the year on January 4th, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, on PC and on Google Stadia. You can still get the most important times and information on MeinMMO.

You have to know that today: After it was very quiet at Bungie over Christmas and New Year’s Eve, things are starting again. We expect the first downtime of the new year 2022. As always, we’re staying on the ball for you.

So that you know exactly when you can gamble and what changes in the game today, MeinMMO accompanies you through the maintenance work and updates this article as soon as something changes or Bungie publishes more information on a hotfix and adjustments.

Maintenance on January 4th – All times and server down

These times are important today:

• Maintenance work on all platforms will start at 2:00 p.m. German time.
• The servers will be offline from 2:45 p.m. You will be kicked out of all activities and the downtime will begin.
• The servers are expected to go online again around 5 p.m. and roll out the update worldwide.
• If a download is pending, you will be able to play Destiny 2 again as soon as it has been downloaded (and copied).
• Maintenance work is scheduled to end at 6:00 p.m.

Important is: Even if you have downloaded the update, there may be connection problems until the scheduled end of maintenance work around 6:00 p.m. You may have to expect queues when logging in. Also note that third-party applications and the official Companion App cannot be accessed correctly.

That changes with the update in season 15

That’s what the hotfix brings today: Bungie has not announced any details about the update in advance. However, it could be a fix to the known issues.

• The in-game menus have been loading very slowly since Christmas, so players have to wait a long time for quest menus, weapon details and other in-game information to open.
• In the “courage tests of eternity”, crashes and black screens occur again and again. The problem is more common on consoles, but also sometimes happens on PC, preventing players from being able to complete the activity.
• Xur continues to flash after you have brought your reputation rank to level 16 with him.
