The weather in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can go crazy. Sometimes you have to fight your way through a thunderstorm, another time you ride towards the most beautiful sunset. The dynamic weather system is more complex than we previously thought, as an attentive fan proves.

What happens after that? The user has visited the place again and again within 199 days and looked at how the small lake has changed over time. The pictures clearly show that the lake continues to dry out and in the end only small puddles remain (you can see all the comparison pictures by clicking on the tweet via Twitter directly looks at).

User explains the weather mechanism

How does this work? One user describes in the comments the functional principle according to which the water rises. Hidden beneath the world of Hyrule are columns of water that rise or fall depending on the weather. So puddles can form in bad weather or disappear over time if it has not rained for a long time.

Many commentators are simply amazed at the weather system. One user states that he has already invested over 195 hours in the game, but has never noticed the weather phenomenon.
