Instagram is preparing a novelty that could revolutionize your uploaded photos
The new Instagram feature will allow users to reorder profile grids without needing to follow a chronological order.
Instagram is working on a lot of news for its users. Recently we received a news story in which they claimed to be testing three different views for their users’ feed at this time. Now, however, another important feature could land on our favorite mobile app, and it is about the possibility of modifying the grid of our profile in whatever order we want.
This is assured by Alessandro Paluzzi, famous filter and expert in reverse engineering. Paluzzi comments that Instagram is currently working on modifying the profile grids, which it will allow users to reorder them however they like regardless of the upload date of each image. In this way, instead of eliminating those images that do not work within the aesthetics of our profile, we can reorder it until it fits with others.
The function could come under the name of ‘Edit grid‘, which is apparently in the part of’Profile information‘. When we touch on this option, the option “grab and drag“our Instagram images all over our profile to sort them as we like best.

More customization options on Instagram
Although it sounds similar, this new function to reorder our Instagram feed not related to those exposed a few weeks ago. According to Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, the three new functions would come under the name of ‘Home‘, ‘Favorites‘ Y ‘Following‘, these last two views being in chronological order, while the first would be the same experience that we find today in the application.
These new display options for our feed are expected to launch in the first half of 2022., although there is still no confirmed date. At the end of 2021, Instagram talked about all the news that will come to the app in 2022, so there is still a long way to go of new features to come.
