Stalker 2 has been postponed, but will still come in 2022

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been postponed to December.

2021 was the unofficial year of game postponements, but it looks like we’re not sure about the new year either. The long-awaited Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl also had to be postponed.

Stalker 2 only in winter

Long time had to Stalker-Fans be patient for a continuation of the survival shooter. In April the wait with the planned release of Stalker 2 should actually come to an end, but now the second part has been postponed, as the development team says Twitter announced. At least it should appear in 2022.

When will Stalker 2 be released? Originally the release was planned for April 28th. The new release date is now the December 8, 2022, almost eight months later. So we have to be patient a little longer.

What is the reason for the postponement? The reason given by the development team is that the additional months are needed to fulfill their “vision of the game and to achieve the desired state.” Stalker 2 is the team’s biggest project so far and needs a lot of time for testing and polishing.

Little consolation, but at least Stalker 2 no longer falls into the so-packed release spring. You can find out which games will appear (as planned) during this time here:

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be available on December 8th exclusively for Xbox Series X / S. If you have the Game Pass, you will even get the game as soon as it is released at no additional cost as part of the subscription service.

In the second part we are again as bounty hunters in the so-called zone. The radioactively contaminated area around the remains of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant lurks full of dangers, whether from monsters, other people or strange anomalies.
