Battlefield 2042 is apparently so bad that even cheat providers are giving up

The bad situation of Battlefield 2042 is taking on curious proportions. The game has such big problems in terms of performance and player enthusiasm that it apparently solves another problem: the cheaters. MeinMMO tells you more.

The negative mood around Battlefield 2042 does not seem to want to end. There are problems from all directions: In the headlines recently, for example, the threatened closure of the subreddit due to toxic behavior, sharply declining player numbers and extraordinary repayments from Steam to dissatisfied players.

This development has now taken a curious turn. Battlefield 2042 is running so badly in two respects that even the cheater providers are tired of the game.

What happened? Journalist Tom Henderson is known for having a lot of inside information about the Battlefield games. On Twitter, he has now shared a strange message from an unspecified Discord server. Apparently a cheat provider explains the reasons why they are discontinuing their dubious services for Battlefield 2042.

According to the alleged cheat provider, his company will no longer offer cheats for Battlefield 2042. There are two reasons for this, as can be seen in the screenshot in the tweet:

• The persistent performance problems of the game influence the cheat too much. So it doesn’t seem to be working as hoped.
• Too many players apparently don’t renew their cheat subscriptions because nobody is playing Battlefield 2042 anymore. In the words of the cheat provider: “The game is dying.”

So the game is doing so badly in two ways that even the cheaters have given up on the game.

Strangely enough, a lack of cheaters is a disastrous sign

The news that a game will have fewer cheaters is usually celebrated. In the case of Battlefield 2042, curiously, this amounts to a doom report. Because this development shows how bad the game is really doing.
