Dying Light 2 Trophies: Non-co-op players cannot get platinum

Playing through the game alone is not enough for the platinum trophy.
Playing through the game alone is not enough for the platinum trophy.

To get the platinum trophy in the forthcoming Dying Light 2 we have to put in a fair bit of work to get it, but it seems doable. Thanks to a leak on the site Exophase we now know what trophies there will be in the game. But you won’t be able to get two of the trophies as a solo player.

Warning: risk of spoilers! If you click on the trophy list, you will be able to see some of the content that will be in Dying Light 2 by name and description. If you don’t want to be spoiled in advance, you should avoid Exophase.

Platinum trophy is not meant for loners

What is the catch? Unfortunately, beating the title as a single player will not be enough for the platinum trophy. Two of the trophies require us to team up with other players. We already get one of the trophies if we join just one game.

The other trophy, on the other hand, is a bit harder to get. Together with two other players, a total of 100 enemies must be killed. The descriptive text leaves open whether the killed opponents of the other two players count.

What else do I have to do for the platinum trophy? In order to get the platinum trophy, all collectibles must also be completed. There are also some special features for which there is a trophy. This includes, for example, killing an opponent with a specific weapon.

In addition, all status values must be expanded to their maximum value. So we have to level up so far that all status points have been distributed. However, there is good news in all the trophies: Not all endings of Dying Light 2 have to be completed. It is enough to play through the title once.

You can read in the following article why it could take a long time until all collectibles are collected:

This is Dying Light 2

In Dying Light 2: Stay Human we once again play a survivor in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. In the open world we have to make our way through obstacle courses through masses of undead and hostile factions. During the story it is our task to solve the conflicts of the residents. Depending on the choices we make, the cityscape changes drastically.

What do you think about co-op mode coercion? Is that a problem for you?
