A long-awaited novelty comes to WhatsApp Desktop
The new feature is currently only available to all macOS users!
Along with the new features, which are more and more frequent for its mobile version, WhatsApp is working to make its desktop version more complete. Thus, this week the trustworthy site WABetaInfo has confirmed that WhatsApp Desktop is working to implement the function that allows pause and resume your voice recordings.
Unlike the mobile version, public beta for WhatsApp Desktop lets anyone sign up. Thanks to this, any user can already preview this feature before it is released in the stable version of the application. At the moment it is only available for macOS users, while Windows users will have to wait a bit longer.
WhatsApp Desktop allows you to pause and resume your voice recordings
As you can see in the image shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for desktop incorporates a new pause button that allows you to pause the voice memo. With this, you can listen to the voice note before sending it, you can delete the voice memo or you can resume the recording.
The new pause button has replaced the old stop button, which would mean that the user would have to listen to the entire voice recording from the beginning.

In October 2021, WhatsApp for iOS enabled the same ability to pause voice memos after recording them in beta. However, the Meta-owned messaging service has yet to introduce the feature in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android phones.
In recent weeks, WhatsApp has also left other clues about upcoming updates of all kinds, as an official support tool through a chat within the app itself, a pack of 7 exclusive animated emojis and the long-awaited reactions to WhatsApp messages, with which Telegram got ahead of itself last December.
