Just in time for the beginning of the year, EA Sports announced the Team of the Year (TOTY) for FIFA 22. A total of 80 nominated players were up for election, which FIFA fans could then vote for in early January. The result is, unsurprisingly, a top-class team made up of players from Paris St. Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

This is the TOTY of FIFA 22

  • Gianluigi Donnarumma (Paris St. Germain)
  • Joao Cancelo (Manchester City)
  • Ruben Dias (Manchester City)
  • Marquinhos (Paris St. Germain)
  • Achraf Hakimi (Paris St. Germain)
  • Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
  • Jorginho (FC Chelsea)
  • N’Golo Kanté (FC Chelsea)
  • Kylian Mbappé (Paris St. Germain)
  • Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

There is at least one player from the Bundesliga, namely Robert Lewandowski, who showed tremendous performances last year and, among other things, set a new Bundesliga record with 41 goals in one season.

Items available soon: EA Sports wants to make the associated player items available in Ultimate Team mode next week and will start with the strikers on Friday (January 21).

FIFA 22 was released in October 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Switch. The new features of the 22nd edition include Hypermotion technology for animations and a revised progression system in Division Rivals in Ultimate Team mode.
