One thing that bothers fans about the new co-op shooter Rainbow Six: Extraction is the players

On the release night of Rainbow Six: Extraction, there is some trouble in the community. The problem: teammates you really have to be able to rely on. Only a few seem to have no interest in team play at all.

This is the location:

What’s the problem with the players? You have to be able to rely on your fellow players in Rainbow Six: Extraction. While the missions are doable, a single mistake can result in defeat on even the easiest difficulty.

If you lose your life points and go KO, your colleagues have to drag your operator with them and get them out of the zone safely. Otherwise he is missing and you have to free him again first. The same happens if you are left behind, i.e. not at the extraction in time.

Well complain some players on reddit about the toxic behavior of their fellow players. They don’t wait for their colleagues, for example, and simply initiate the exit before everyone is ready. In the worst case, you will lose one of your operators for a while.

In addition, some players should behave like true elitists (via reddit). For example, according to reddit users, they expect you to play flawlessly and perfectly and become insulting when you make mistakes. The fans are asking Ubisoft to do something quickly – otherwise it will degenerate like in “big brother” Siege.

Toxic community spills from Siege to Extraction

Why are the players so mean? Extraction is a spin-off of sorts to the tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege. The co-op shooter is based on the Outbreak event from 2018, but does not contain any PvP components.

However, the operators are carried over from Siege and many Siege fans should at least take a look at Extraction. The Siege community is considered to be quite toxic, as is the problem with many shooters. Insults like to be thrown here if there is no correct reaction in heated situations.

To make matters worse, Extraction plays with a certain fear of loss. I too have caught myself urging my comrades to try a little harder or be more careful. I just didn’t want to lose my operator.

Our tip: if you want to avoid toxic players, only gamble with friends or solo. The tactical co-op component is lost alone, but the difficulty adapts. Solo, Extraction is very reminiscent of stealth shooters or Hitman.

How does Rainbow Six: Extraction arrive? Extraction players praise the fact that there are hardly any errors to be found. It just feels “done”, a pleasant change from the sometimes catastrophic releases of recent times.

The new co-op shooter also gets largely good ratings from the trade press on Metacritic. The main criticism is that Extraction is not much more than a decoupled co-op mode. The game is good at what it does, but nothing really special.

We at MeinMMO had a lot of fun in our tests and will continue to play for the next few weeks. One of the biggest pluses for us was the duration, because Extraction is great to play in between. You can read more about this in the game report by MeinMMO author Marko Jevtic:

A round in Rainbow Six Extraction lasts less than 30 minutes and that’s the good thing about it
