This is how you make the most of Community Day

You should know that: If you use smoke or lure modules during the event period from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., they will each last for three hours and attract many Bulbasaur during the event.

How to prepare: The event lasts only three hours this time instead of the usual six hours. During this time you will meet many Pokémon. So that you don’t have to empty your collection every few minutes, we recommend that you create enough space in your Pokémon collection beforehand. The tag function in Pokémon GO is very helpful when sorting your collection.

You need a lot of balls for that. Less than the classic community days. But for casual players it should be 150 to 200 balls that you take with you. If you want to farm a lot of candies, it is advisable to pack many more balls.

You can also activate Mega Pokémon like Bisaflor or Bibor during the event to earn an additional candy for each catch.

Which items are worthwhile?

  • If you want to evolve a lot of Bulbasaur, you need a lot of Candy. So catch with pineapple berries and use smoke and bait modules
  • If you want to earn a lot of XP, you should also activate Lucky Eggs. They also increase your XP bonus when caught to the event bonus. It is a good idea to level up your friendships on this day and receive the strong bonuses.

In addition, the use of star pieces can be worthwhile for you, since you will encounter many Pokémon.

Is Community Day with Bulbasaur worth it?

This is how powerful Bulbasaur and its evolutions are: Bulbasaur evolves into Bisaknosp, which in turn evolves into Bisaflor. We looked at the strength of each development to assess if the event is worth it.

  • Bulbasaur in its normal form is not a good attacker in either raids or PvP.
  • Bisaknosp is not really interesting for raids in PvE. In PvP he plays in the upper middle field in the super league, but he has stronger competitors.
  • Bisaflor is one of the best plant attackers in Pokémon GO alongside Roserade, Gewaldro and Zarude. It’s really strong, especially in Crypto form or Mega Bulbasaur. It’s worth keeping a few strong specimens of Venusaur (also known as Crypto) in your collection.
  • Bisaflor is also really strong in PvP in the super league and plays almost at the top. In the hyper league it can keep up with the upper midfield and in the master league Bisaflor is more in the lower midfield.

You need the event attack: Bisaflor only becomes really strong with the Flora statue. If you evolve Bisaknosp into Bisaflor during Community Day, Bisaflor will automatically learn the move Flora Statue. You have up to two hours after the event to evolve your Bisaknosp into Venusaur so they learn Flora Statue. So the developments work from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.

For whom is the event worthwhile? The Community Day Classic with Bulbasaur is worthwhile in many areas. Players who have taken a long break from Pokémon GO and therefore do not yet have a strong Venusaur or only a few candies should definitely participate here.

PvP players can also get medium to strong attackers here and thus expand their plant selection.

Participation should also be worthwhile for Shiny collectors, as there are always good chances of getting the dazzling Pokémon on the Community Days.

Anyone who is still collecting experience points in Pokémon GO can also catch up a lot here at the event with the XP bonus.
