Genshin Impact: Leaks reveal a new 5-star character in patch 2.6
According to a leak, the character Ayato Kamisato is said to come with patch 2.6 in Genshin Impact to appear. Hardly anything is known about him until now, but he is celebrated by the fans. Here’s what is known about Ayato.
This is Ayato Kamisato: Young Ayato is the current head of the great Kamisato clan, one of the most respected clans in Inazuma. He serves the country’s shogunate and takes care of the political and organizational affairs.
He is also the older brother of Ayaka Kamisato, who has been playable for a long time. Always extremely busy and stressed out, Ayato is reluctant to show in public. Therefore, Ayaka takes his place as the face of the Kamisato clan.
Although little is known about Ayato, he is considered an immensely popular character. He stole the show from the character Arataki Itto in his own trailer. Ayato’s voice was only briefly audible at the end of the trailer, but it caused fans to freak out.
In the Japanese version of Genshin Impact, he is voiced by voice actor Akira Ishida, who has achieved near-legendary status for his numerous appearances in anime and video games (via Wikipedia).
What the leaks say: Now it is rumored in the Genshin community that Ayato will probably come into play with patch 2.6. Several leakers tweeted that the popular character will be featured in the first 2.6 banner:
There is very little information about Ayato until now. Even his element and weapon are largely speculations based on the in-game info snippets. It is suspected that he will become a Hydro character who could wield a sword or spear, but neither is officially confirmed yet.
Ayato’s appearance is also not yet known and there are no reliable screenshots of him from the game. However, he is said to have blue hair similar to his sister Ayaka.
However, according to leaks, Ayato is said to be a 5-star character, just like his sister. Also, the alleged descriptions of his abilities have been leaked:
- E-Skill: If Ayato’s Elemental Skill is activated at the same time when he is attacked by an opponent, he gains a stack of “Kendo Pose”.
- E-Burst: Ayato performs a jump attack that consumes the collected stacks of Kendo Pose. According to the leak, up to 3 stacks should be possible.
Kendo is the Japanese art of swordsmanship, which again suggests that Ayato wields a sword as a weapon. However, it is currently not possible to assess what role Ayato will play in a team.
As always, keep in mind that these are leaks. And while Genshin Impact’s leaks have often proven reliable, they should continue to be treated with caution.
