Spain puts a stop to piracy and does so by blocking almost 900 streaming websites

Piracy’s days may be numbered and the fact is that the Ministry of Culture and Sports is increasingly keeping an eye on the web pages that are dedicated to retransmitting this content.

Piracy in Spain seems to have its days numbered. The new blow that the Ministry of Culture and Sports has dealt to web pages intended for the distribution of content illegally has put almost 900 domains in check.

When it comes to talking about piracy, the logical relationship that is made is as follows: series, movies and music. Yes, these three artistic representations are the ones that suffer the most from piracy, but they are not the only ones and this has been seen in web screening.

What the actions of the Ministry of Culture and Sports have done has been discover a total of 172 main domains and 697 subdomains. After inspecting them and making sure that their activity was illegal, what they have done has been to close them.

Among these domains, what have been found are websites dedicated to both series and movie piracy, but in others the illegal content was books scanned or uploaded in PDF files so that any user can access them.
