WoW Listens to Feedback – Removes a lot of grind for double legendary

Unlocking the “duplicate Legendaries” in World of Warcraft patch 9.2 will be easier. But it also takes longer…

Patch 9.2 End of Eternity hasn’t even been released yet, but the World of Warcraft community has already received a lot of criticism. One annoyance is unlocking the second legendary item. Because in the upcoming update, all heroes can use two legendary powers at the same time – but that involves work. Previously, a long grind was necessary for this, but this is now significantly reduced.

What was the problem? If you wanted to have the legendary belt as early as possible and thus unlock the second legendary item, you had to – according to the previous status – complete all daily missions in Zereth Mortis every day for almost 28 days. A grind that requires attention almost every day, only to be rewarded with an unlock at the end. A big hurdle, especially for players who can’t play every day or just don’t get warm with daily quests.

How will it be now? The developers have now significantly revised the activation. You will now get the legendary belt automatically after completing the 7th story chapter, as a kind of icing on the cake for completing the campaign.

The associated memory for the new legendary effect – “Memory of Unity”, however, is only available once you have a respectful reputation with the new faction – in addition to the requirement of having already completed Chapter 7 of the story. However, like all legendary effects, the memory is then unlocked account-wide. You only need to gain respectful reputation once. All secondary characters only need to complete the campaign to earn the belt, though there’s a good chance you can craft it yourself afterwards.

In patch 9.2, once you can carry 2 legendary items, your power will skyrocket.

However, Blizzard emphasizes that by completing Chapter 7, many players will already have achieved respectful reputation. The story quests are said to give the most reputation. So there is no such thing as long and repeated grinding of daily quests – or only for players interested in the awesome rewards or enjoying this type of gameplay.

Why is Blizzard doing this? There are several reasons for this. For one thing, Blizzard wants all players to unlock the double Legendary bonus at about the same time – that wouldn’t be the case if it involves a lot of grind. Furthermore, a postponement of the activation is better, since the new raid is “automatically” nerfed a little. Depending on the class, the double legendary should mean a good 10% to 20% more performance and thus make many fights easier.

A nice side effect is that these items are not yet available in the first 2 weeks of the “World First” race and the race could remain so exciting. Otherwise, if no winner has been determined by then, the double Legendary should probably bring the race to an end quickly.

is that better now Basically, the new solution seems to be well received by many players because it requires less grind. Even if you only occasionally log in and do a few daily quests, you should have reached respectful reputation by the end of week 5.

What do you think of this solution? A good development and were the fans listened to? Or did Blizzard do exactly the wrong thing here?
