What you need to know today: Bungie has routinely announced an afternoon update for today, Tuesday, January 25, 2022. You should also keep Tuesday and Thursday as new update days on your screen and plan your gaming time around them.

MeinMMO tells you what it looks like today, when you can go online again and what Bungie is changing. We’ll also keep in touch for you during the maintenance work and update this article with new information.

Maintenance on 01/25 – All times and server down

These times are important today:

  • At 2:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work will start on all platforms
  • The servers will go offline at 2:45 p.m. You will be kicked out of all activities – downtime begins
  • The servers are scheduled to go back online around 5:00 p.m

That changes with the update in Season 15

This brings the maintenance to changes: Destiny 2 had to undergo unscheduled maintenance on Saturday. The servers were completely down, nothing worked anymore. Shortly thereafter, the hashtag “Telesto” was already trending on Twitter. Coincidence? Anyway, players joked about this curious fact during the outage on Twitter:

Who decided to let Xur sell Telesto this weekend?

This week, however, Bungie is going back to the normal update routine. Two known issues are already on the hotfix list for this. The update could contain even more changes.

This is currently on Bungie’s hotfix list:

  • Handguns sometimes run out of ammo when you first spawn in an area or activity.
  • The “Tests of Eternity” win streak now only grants a maximum of 125 points per completion.

If you also notice problems in the game, then the recommendation is directly above the official Bungie Help forum report to draw attention to it.

Patch notes for the update in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the comprehensive list of all changes to an update in the form of patch notes. These traditionally appear along with the update itself, provided Bungie has made changes.

  • If the developer publishes something about this, we will add it to this article for you.

What do you all mean? Will Telesto soon take over the world in Destiny 2? Or was that just a funny coincidence? The gamebreaking exotic has no supernatural powers capable of crashing Bungie’s servers? Tell us your theories in the comments.
