Pokémon Legends Arceus features giant Pokémon and fans are celebrating it
In the new Pokémon game Legends: Arceus, there are very special Pokémon that evoke very special feelings in some fans.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is coming this week and does some things differently than previous parts of the series. Among other things, this also means that we will be dealing with much larger versions of the monsters. Which apparently triggers very special feelings in many fans and players: for example, they want these Pokémon to walk over them. It’s no coincidence that all this is reminiscent of the situation with Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, which caused very similar reactions among fans.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Huge Pokémon evoke wild reactions from fans
That’s what it’s about: Pokémon Legends Arceus will be released on January 28th, which is Friday this week. However, the game is already partly in the hands of many players, which is why you should beware of spoilers. Some fans are already streaming the title in its entirety on Twitch, and others are enjoying a very special detail: the huge alpha Pokémon.

What are Alpha Pokémon? In Pokémon Legends: Arceus there are so-called Alphas. They are larger than the normal versions and have bright red eyes (see above). But you can catch them as normal and with a bit of luck you will also get rare items if you defeat them. Alphas in the wild will chase and attack you if they see you.
First of all, they are huge: The big Pokémon look quite unfamiliar and huge when moving through the game world. Which is causing a storm of excitement for some fans, who take great delight in the surprisingly huge versions of Pokémon.

With that, Pokémon could now have one heralded a very special era have, as a whole bunch of people are realizing on social media: the era when Pokémon fans felt a special kind of attraction to these giant versions.

While some liken the situation to that created by Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village (people seem to find giant mythical creatures particularly sexy and want them to bury them), others find some of the larger Pokémon just plain cute. Like in this video for example:

When is it finally coming? Not much longer, only three more sleeps. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released for the Nintendo Switch on January 28th. The preload has already started. Of course, you’ll find out in good time how the game fares in our eyes in our big GamePro test.
