How does the power pass work in Lost Ark? All important details

In the new MMORPG Lost Ark there are various power pass functions. You can buy and activate these directly in the character sheet if you meet the requirements. Here at MeinMMO we explain what that is and how it works.

What is a power pass? Power Passes in Lost Ark are a new feature that made their debut in the beta.

These passes ensure that your second and third characters reach the endgame of Lost Ark faster and you don’t have to grapple with the level phase of the MMORPG forever.

There are also various power passes that you can activate as soon as you have reached a certain point in the story. For example, once you’ve reached level 50 and completed the story, you’ll be given the opportunity to purchase a pass that will instantly bring your new character to level 50.

It is currently unclear whether the power pass system will also be available at launch. However, another system for automatically leveling will certainly be there at the start.

What does a power pass give you? If you activate it on one of your characters, it immediately jumps to the specified level and receives equipment corresponding to its level. So you can then jump straight into the endgame content with a newly created character.

You’ve also completed the story up to a certain point. So nothing is stopping you from getting started right away.

How does this work? You can only use the power pass after you have already completed the main story with another character. That’s why many people are initially disappointed when they click on the fat, glowing power button.

In order to finally be able to use the power pass, you must do the following:

• Play a character to the point of completing the quest “Ealyn’s Gift”.
• This quest ends the main story of the game, so you can only use and buy the pass afterwards
• You will then receive a power pass for your account
• Now create a new character or select an existing one
• While still in character selection, press the big “Power Pass” button
• Now you confirm the process and your character is at the specified level and suitably equipped

How long does it take you to level 50? However, it is questionable whether you really have to pay attention to the power pass as a new player. Because if you stumble through the world inexperienced, it will take quite a while before you can complete the story.

However, experienced players have already proven that they can complete the game’s main storyline in about two days. So here the power pass is within reach.

However, these players in particular usually already know how the characters feel in the endgame. The power pass itself is therefore most likely to play into the hands of experienced players.
