Pokémon GO: Spotlight hour today with Leufeo and XP

Spotlight Hour with Leufeo starts today, February 1st, in Pokémon GO. There is also a bonus for more experience points (EP). We show you the details of the event, start and end as well as Shiny Leufeo.

What is this event? Spotlight Hour kicks off every Tuesday night in Pokémon GO. A selected Pokémon is in the spotlight for a period of one hour. That means you can find it almost anywhere in the wild. The whole thing is accompanied by a bonus that should make the spotlight hour tasty for you.

We’ll show you here what awaits you tonight and for whom it’s worth it.

Spotlight Hour with Leufeo – Start, Shiny and Bonuses

When does the event start? Spotlight Hour begins today, February 1, at 6:00 p.m. local time. You can then play the event for one hour until it ends at 19:00.

These are the bonuses: During the event, you can find Leufeo almost everywhere in the wilderness. If you want more spawns, light a smoke. It will also mostly attract Leufeo.

As a bonus, you get double the amount of experience points for evolving Pokémon. So it’s worth searching through the collection beforehand and marking Pokémon that you want to evolve. Especially if you still have to collect XP, you can easily increase it with it. This is how much XP you need from level 41 to level 50.

Does Shiny Leufeo exist? Yes, since the start of the Lunar New Year in Pokémon GO, you can catch Leufeo in the shiny form for the first time. So you also have the chance at the Limelight Hour.

Here you can find the comparison between Leufeo and Shiny Leufeo as well as the development of Pyroleo in male and female

Is the limelight hour worth it today with Leufeo?

Who is it worth it for? If you are still in the leveling process and are collecting experience points, you can take the development bonus with you and use it to help yourself a bit.

Leufeo and its evolution Pyroleo aren’t really useful in trainer battles. There are simply stronger representatives who have significantly better chances in the fight. Also in PvE, i.e. in raids, Leufeo and Pyroleo don’t really have anything to say. So use the limelight hour primarily to fill your PokéDex and, if you’re lucky, to catch Shinys.
