That’s what it’s about: Deep Rock Galactic is getting a second season. It introduces various new secondary weapons and a completely new faction. The so-called rivals are nasty robots that bring a very special boss with them. Of course, there are also new skins, clothes, new improvements and so on.

What is Deep Rock Galactic? An extremely fun pastime that is best played with three friends: four dwarves are mining and have to defend themselves against all kinds of animals. You can find out more about this here:
When does Season 2 start? It won’t be too long before you can lend a hand. Kick-off is on PlayStation and Xbox on May 5th.
This is in it: Season 2 brings a whole lot of new things to the game. First and foremost, of course, would be the new mission events and rival warnings related to the new enemies. Otherwise, four new weapons, new cosmetic items, a performance pass, a shop mineral and more await you.
- New weapons: All four classes will receive a completely new secondary weapon. Each with their own new skins, new improvements and so on.
- Engineer: You get a powerful laser with the Shard Diffractor.
- Gunner: The Armskore Coil Gun shoots even through rocks.
- scout: The Nishanka Boltshark X-80 crossbow uses different bolts.
- Driller: The Wave Cooker will cook enemies to the point of bursting in no time.
- New enemies: The so-called rivals can appear at events or as an additional warning in missions. Then you get to deal with robot swarms and the huge and very nasty Nemesis robot. It is also important to destroy communication equipment.
- New items and more: In addition, you can of course also buy new cosmetics in the shop, unlock a whole new, free performance pass and cosmetics tree and pay for all of this with the new minerals.
If you’re not locked into a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series S/X, you can earlier than May 5th get started with the second season of Deep Rock Galactic. The launch is planned for April 28th on PC or via Steam, but it can be even earlier: An early test version will start on April 19th in the Experimental branch on Steam.
