World of Warcraft has released a new trailer. It should actually make you want to play the new dungeon tournament – ​​and it works. But a small detail fuels the hopes of many fans for a new adaptation. Because a warlock looks suspiciously like a necromancer…

What is this trailer? The trailer is for the upcoming Mythic Dungeon International. This is basically the PvE dungeon tournament where the best groups in the world try to master absurdly high keystones within the given time. This tournament then often defines the new “status quo”, which is then regarded as the optimal group. But the performance accessed there alone is remarkable and for everyone who enjoys “Mythic+” you can learn a few tricks and tricks there.

What was shown in the trailer? The trailer is basically a highly polished version of a dungeon run. It shows several heroes airship landing in front of Tazavesh and tackling this dungeon. All of this is shown much more flawlessly than the graphics of World of Warcraft allow.

One detail immediately catches the eye: in the first few seconds we see a close-up of a human woman who wears warlock clothing but has the skin color, eyes and tattoos of a necromancer – just like many NPCs in the Plaguelands or Scholomance do .

Such an adjustment is not yet possible for player characters. Although the files are present in the game data – after all, they can be used by NPCs – they are not accessible to the players.

Having this detail prominently given some players hopes that Necromancers will soon be available as a playable class – or at least as some kind of alternative “skin” for the Warlock. That would also coincide with a leak that speaks of the “Dragonflight” expansion. The leak talks about some classes getting alternative skins. Warlocks should be able to become necromancers, while hunters get a skin for dark rangers.
