Xur, the black market trader, is visiting Destiny 2 again today. He will again choose a random location to be in for the rest of the weekend. You can find out here whether a visit to Xur is worthwhile this time.

What happened in Destiny 2 this week? This week Bungie released the Grandmaster mode of the new Raid Apprentice’s Oath. Despite the new and fresh raid, many players are disappointed with the hard mode rewards. They even advise against playing it.

Furthermore, patch 4.0.1 has caused some changes. Not only do players now benefit from improved perks and weapon adjustments, but also a new feature that will benefit you in Osiris.

Last but not least, Bungie has announced many sandbox adjustments for weapons, armor and exos in its new TWaB. We have summarized these for you in a separate post, as the list is very long.

Trials of Osiris on 04/22 – 04/26. – Map, weapons and info

Back to the zones keeper!

This Friday, April 22nd, Trials of Osiris will see the return of Zone Control mode. So grab a Participation Pass from Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and pick up the top loot and a flawless run on the Lighthouse and participate in a few rounds of Conquest.

Which map is it this week? Each weekend you only play on a fixed map. This time on the xx on the map xx.

If you’re interested in playing the Trials as a team, we recommend it Callout maps via Warmind. This gives your fireteam a good description of where the opponents are on the map, which is useful information for the whole team.

How to get your loot: The Trials of Osiris have a ranking system. Your top loot reward from PvP matches is currently for:

  • Seven wins
  • 50 rounds
  • as well as the infamous flawless run that takes you to the lighthouse

This is the reward for a flawless run: Every week, a very special weapon awaits you on the lighthouse, which you get as a master version for your flawless run, i.e. 7 victories. It also has the Trials origin perk, and you can earn it until next Tuesday at 7 p.m. This weapon is the xx.

All Trials weapons have a Trials origin perk: Haste – Improves reload, stability, aim assist, and range when you’re the last member of your fireteam alive or fighting alone.

Once you have obtained your desired weapon, you can focus your Trial Engrams at Saint-14 specifically on your desired weapon. On top there are Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Fragments. Keep in mind that once you have a complete pass, your reward increases even more – even if you lose a game or two.

When do the trials start? The trials (tests of Osiris) start this Friday for the daily reset at 7:00 p.m.

What do you think of the different modes that Bungie is releasing for the Trials? Do they give you enough variety in the usual PvP battles? Or do you prefer the standard 3v3 matches where skill and marksmanship is over zone control? Let us know!
