Battlefield 2042 is running badly - But instead of improving it, EA is said to be bringing XP boosts for real money

The latest Battlefield 2042 leak is currently attracting the attention of Battlefield fans on Twitter. But instead of the improvements requested by the players, the leak only reveals more bundles, cosmetic content and XP boosters that are viewed critically by the players.

Why are the XP boosts viewed critically? Battlefield 2042 has been struggling with numerous problems since its release on November 12, 2021. Many gamers are dissatisfied and have been hoping for improvements for the shooter since the launch, for which they sometimes paid up to €120.

Thousands of gamers even signed a petition demanding refunds for Battlefield 2042. With the latest leak, EA DICE now has to face the allegations of the players that instead of releasing improvements, they seem to be implementing additional bundles and XP boosters.

Over 200,000 players want their money back from Battlefield 2042 – “We were lied to!”

There was additional criticism for the fact that XP boosters are understood as Pay2Win, since players in Battlefield 2042 unlock better weapons, attachments and the like with the level progress. If this level progress is faster if you pay for it, you enjoy advantages through real money use – you can already see that as “Pay2Win”.

The developers removed the ability to farm experience points in portal mode so that no one would have an unfair advantage.

How reliable is the leak? The Twitter account @temporyal is known in the Battlefield community for its accurate leaks. As a data miner, he draws his information from non-visible, but already implemented files of the game.

Nevertheless, temporyal always indicates in the content it shares that it is unpublished content based on data mining. He stresses that there is no guarantee that the content of his leaks will make it into the game.

According to @temporyal, the images in the latest post were taken from the current version of the game client.

Contrary to the perception EA DICE would not work on the state of the game regarding Battlefield 2042, the developer studio recently released an update with, according to its own statement, over 400 bug fixes.

But the current leak also opens up the discussion as to whether Battlefield 2042 can still be saved. The MeinMMO editorial team also recently dealt with the question and spoke in the MeinMMO podcast about the possible rescue of the shooter.
