Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has had a problem with bully deer for over a year

After more than a year, it is no wonder that some players are upset about the deer.

“Bughalla” is not without reason a name that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has to put up with. Because the Viking adventure not only had to deal with many bugs and other problems when it was released in November 2020, the game does not always run smoothly even in the second year after its release, as recently with the Ragnarök DLC.

Some of these problems that persist throughout the game, however, have four hooves, fur, and powerful antlers on their heads. The deer that roam virtual England were already after Eivor back then. It was not uncommon for the wild animals to attack Eivor out of nowhere, but this could not be blocked. A video by Redditor shiny_puffy_llama proves that wild animals are still literally roaming wildly through the country.

Beware of the ”Flying Deer”

Yes, Flying Hirsch is actually an alcoholic mixed drink, but the name also fits here quite well. Because the video is also about a drinking bout and a deer that comes flying, as powerful as it thunders into Eivor and the others when they provocatively say “You look like someone who likes a kitten on his brew sucks.” is asked to a drinking duel: But see for yourself:

Bully or anti-drinker? Of course, in AC Valhalla we can also become victims of the wild deer, regardless of drinking games. In the case of shiny_puffy_llama, however, you might think that the deer has something against drinking games or alcohol in general. Why else would he be so aggressively running into the crowd over and over again and hurting Eivor – who incidentally, visibly unfazed by the attack, accepts the drinking challenges?

Bug or intention? Joking aside, we still don’t have a serious answer as to why the deer have been behaving like bullies for over a year. The Reddit comments also say that it’s not a bug but a feature, since the deer simply mimics the protective behavior of the real role models, but most assume it’s a bug.

However, they disagree on whether this should be remedied. Opinions vary here from “I make a point of killing everyone I see just because of it.” to “I love the unintentionally hilarious moments.”
